Stock Market Challenge

This Graceland SIFE team first participated in the Goldman Sachs Capital Markets competition in 2008. We put together a curriculum to teach high school students about capital markets, and the importance of investing. At the end of our teaching sessions we held a mock stock market simulation where the students were able to buy, sell, and invest their own money in the fake stock market we created. This year we have continued the project by going into three different high schools, and partnering with Emory and Henry College and three SIFE teams in Egypt. We hope to be able to impact over 1,000 high school students around the world. We are also partnering with the New York Stock Exchange and sending a winner from each simulation that will be taking place in the US to New York for a tour and possibility of ringing the bell. We have been given the opportunity to work with several businesses and professionals throughout the process, and hope our impact is much greater than it has been in the past. 2010 Members: Loralyn Heath--Brady Blankenship Trent Ranney -- Chris Clark -- Leon Howard -- Liz Sweet -- Jennifer Abraham
