JA Biztown

The JA Biztown project is a curriculum based program developed by Junior Achievement. Our SIFE team works directly with a sixth grade classroom in our community teaching lessons that incorporate strategies such as economics, check writing, basic community functions, and preparing students for future careers. Once students have developed these specific skills, they perform them in a simulated business community called JA Biztown located in Des Moines, IA. This program prepares students to become successful, productive citizens while being involved in a free enterprise system.
