Kids Bank
The Kids Bank is a program that Graceland SIFE has partnered with Bank of the West, and Lamoni Elementary School to teach a fifth grade class about basic banking concepts including saving money and the power of interest. SIFE has gone into the classroom to teach the children important lessons about how banks work and how a savings account works. The lesson then culminates with a field trip to the bank where each child, with parent's permission, will be given $5 from Graceland SIFE and $5 from Bank of the West to open a savings account.
Following the bank visit, SIFE will go to the classroom once a month to collect money for the students to deposit in their accounts as well as track how their saving is working for them.
