Microfinance and Income Generating Opportunities

All around the world there are entrepreneurs looking to start a business to improve their standard of living, meet a need in their community, and take care of their families. The biggest obstacle that these entrepreneurs face is the lack of funds available for the startup of their businesses. These people have the passion but don’t have the means to see their dreams reach fulfillment. Our goal is to bridge the disconnect between these hopeful entrepreneurs and sources for funding.The SIFE Microfinance Team aims to help entrepreneurs from all different countries across the globe. We will do this by educating people about micro-finance,specifically what institutions in the area have micro-financing opportunities available. We will also teach how to write a business plan and how to successfully run a business.

We plan to do this by:

• Gathering general information on microfinance and tailoring it to each individual country/entrepreneur
• Providing training and education about microfinance and running a business
• Acting as a clearing house by linking entrepreneurs with microfinancing institutions and funds
• Developing a support system for entrepreneurs to provide guidance through each stage of microfinance and running a business
